Charming 2 colour gold Regency fob seal modelled as a seated greyhound c.1820.

The greyhound sits on a plinth decorated with a pattern of three leaf clovers in 2 colour gold.

The intaglio cornelian seal reads ‘Fida Ti’ framed by a garland of roses.The inscription is an Italian phrase meaning “Trust” or “Trusted” or “Trust me”, and the roses also speak to loyalty, love and devotion.

Some wear to one ear to no real detriment.
