Hardstone portrait cameo of Frederick II the Great, King of Prussia in distinctive red and grey agate c.1760 in 18ct gold brooch mount likely later c.1800.
The portrait relates to early medals of Frederick with a distinctive style of wig and queue with sash and garter.
Continental mark to pin.
I have had only a few cameos in this colourway all from the mid to late c18th.
Cameo 2.5 cms, with pin 3.5 cms.
