Charming micromosaic butterfly ring c.1820.
Likely a souvenir from Rome the tiny tesserae of the mosaic sit in their original copper tray and set in a gold dished bezel and simple trifurcated gold shank, the central leaf to the shank gently scalloped.The gold has a rosy colour but tests higher than 9 carat.
Just smaller than a size 7.
