Cameo of Hebe

Quality shell cameo depicting the mythological figure Hebe,cupbearer to the Gods of Mount Olympus,carved in Horned Helmut shell and set to a 15ct Etruscan-revival frame c.1860.

She is represented here with wings wearing a full flowing shift carrying nectar in amphorae inspired by a vase painting in the Jatta Museum, Ruvo di Puglia, Italy.
