Early Victorian sculptural swooping dove pendant c.1840.

Studded with rose-cut diamonds with a central old-cut diamond and cabochon ruby eyes.

Set in silver with gold bale and gold beak.

Probably originally forming part of an aigrette.

In Victorian jewellery the dove symbolizes love and peace of the deepest kind,hope,faith and devotion.
