Beautiful weighty carved 15 ct gold Georgian seal and split ring c.1820.

The fob seal is set with an amethyst intaglio of a finely detailed seated ‘couchant’ lion, front facing with a majestic flowing mane, the torso, beneath. The armorial can be found in Fairbairns plate 7, crest 10.

The carved split ring can be easily detached and worn on the finger.

Total weight 14.6 grams.

Fob 2.5 cms. Internal diameter split ring 18mm. Fits size 8. 

Immaculate condition.
