Georgian Garnet Earrings

Rare entirely original closed back foiled Georgian almandine garnet drop earrings c.1820.

The wonder of these earrings lies in their authenticity, the original ‘back-to-front’ hinged fittings remain as do the tiny central stone above the drop.All links are intact and original.

Unusual box-shaped gold backs and perfect cut-down settings to the stones.

Rich ruby foil is set beneath the faceted stones.

Length of drop 1 inch.

Each large garnet 1cm across.
