Georgian Garnet Halo Mourning Ring

A tiny delight.

A rare example of late c18th mourning ring featuring a lock of hair held between two pieces of crystal with gold  initials CFB.The  border of tiny square garnets are set to mimic the petals of a flower,the finely bevelled shank totally original and joins the delicate halo at the back.

Such is the delicacy of these rings with their tiny foiled garnets and fine shanks most have some damage,this example unusually has all the original stones.
