Stunning Victorian 15ct gold  Holbeinesque brooch set with five chrysoberyls and four rubies c.1860. Crafted tendrils stand in relief against a matted gold ground influenced by the Renaissance jewellery designs of Hans Holbein.

Immaculate condition. 1.5 by 1.25 inches. 12.5 grams. central chrysoberyl 13mm by 11 mm.
