Striking oil on copper miniature of a stylish gentleman of the early c18th sporting the long, curly, full-bottomed wig of the 1700s-1720s a style associated with the Georgian court, British lawyers and judges.Presented beneath a domed glass in a contemporary and beautiful oval shagreen case. Some tiny flaking of paint at the edges but only seen if glazing removed. 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/4inches.
