Plump pavé turquoise Victorian heart pendant with a serpent border. c.1840.

Victorian snake and turquoise jewellery symbolized eternal love, wisdom, and protection, heavily popularized after Prince Albert gave Queen Victoria a snake engagement ring in 1839.
