Ribbon Border Locket Ring c.1760
Unusual Rococo period Georgian ring formed of a miniature locket with a ribbon border of tiny facetted iron pyrites.c.1760. The glazed central locket opens from the back and would have likely originally housed a lock of hair as a token of love or memorial.
The fine high carat bevelled shank is entirely original.
Size 6.5. A delicate beauty and such a rare survivor.
