Rare silhouette ring attributed to John Miers c.1790.
The high-carat ring having a rectangular bezel with chamfered corners,the frame engraved with a bright-cut sprig design. The portrait of a gentlemen facing left with hair fashionably worn 'en queue'.
John Miers was the most famous silhouettist of his day working from his studio at 111 Strand,London.
