Victorian Garnet Horseshoe Ring

Most unusual original Victorian 18ct carved garnet horseshoe ring c.1880.

Size 6.

Initials L.M.L inscribed at the centre of the shoe.

Although I have had a few carved agate hoof pieces never have a had an original ring let alone with a slice of carved garnet.

Long regarded as symbols of good fortune horseshoes became increasingly popular in the last quarter of the 19th century.
