Grand Tour carved coral horses head pendant c.1840.

15 carat gold mounts and fine 18 carat gold reins.

3 cms length.

5.7 grams.

Traditionally worn as powerful amulets in Italy, to bring good luck and protect from evil spirits. The Grand Tourists of the c19th purchased these souvenirs from the famous Coral centres of Naples and Trapani.
