Emerald and Diamond Floral Navette

Highly unusual emerald and diamond navette shaped pendant c.1780.

The rock crystal locket contains a faux floral bouquet tied with a rose diamond bow.

The flowers are made from the finest strands of dyed silk and the leaves from miniscule iridescent hummingbird feathers .

The navette is surmounted by a rose diamond bow.

Probably Iberian in origin.

A rare survivor.
