Large scale Georgian old cut diamond and enamel navette ring c.1785.
A deep purple band of enamel runs between the outer border of diamonds and the inner, the centre is glazed and holds a patch of blonde hair.
As the ring is uninscribed it may have been intended as a love gift rather than a mourning ring.
Some wear to the central glass, and a small chip the purple enamel.
15 ct gold, enamel, old cut diamonds.
