Georgian heart locket pendant

Delicate Rococo heart shaped crystal mourning locket with the most exquisitely detailed pearl and amethyst entwined ribbon border. c.1760.

The locket contains the original hair weave with initials CH tied to the hair. The contents can be removed if desired.

The pearls signify tears and the amethyst denote mourning. All stones original and undisturbed. The craftsmanship on this miniature scale is truly astonishing.
