Georgian Three Colour Fob Seal

Exceptional Georgian 15 carat three colour gold fob seal set with an amethyst intaglio of a spaniel c.1815.
The fob is highly decorated with leaves and flowers and beads of gold in yellow, green and rose gold.
Height 3 cms.
Base 1.5 by 1.5 cms.

The spaniel was a popular motif in sentimental jewellery representing loyalty, fidelity, and affection.
