18 carat gold Archeological Revival Florentine micromosaic pendant c.1860.Italian in origin.

The highly detailed and colourful millefiori micromosaic scarab beetle sits in its copper tray set to a reeded gold mount and granulated bale and would have been a highly fashionable Grand Tour item collected in the mid-19th century and brought back to England as a souvenir.

1.2 inches diameter, with bale the length is 1.5inches.
