Unusual Regency high carat three-colour gold Grecian Harp pendant with hidden locket compartment to the base. c.1820.

The head of the Harp’s central column is studded with turquoise.

Exquisite miniature in perfect condition.

2 grams. 1 inch long.

The harp gained enormous popularity in the early c19th largely due to Sebastien Erard’s patented harp design,only to be superseded by the development of the pianoforte.
