Rare signed Irish portrait miniature by Richard Bull dated 1781 of a young society beauty with fashionable hair, in lovely sepia tones.

Typical Irish Georgian bright-cut decoration to the reverse of the gold frame,a navette locket containing a perfect lock of the sitter's hair tied with a miniature pearl buckle.

An Irish artist working in Dublin 1777-1790,exhibiting in London at the R.A.1794-1809.

His sitters included the Prince of Wales,the Duke of York,Kemble and Lord Nelson.

A signed example in the V and A dated 1799.
