Rare Victorian high carat gold novelty mouse ring attributable to Thornhill and Co c.1880.
The ring is kinetic as the finely modelled mouse chases around the band.
A tiny chased turquoise-set heart hangs from the mouse.

Walter Thornhill and Company of Bond St.,London were well known for their novelties by the 1870s and borrowing a French device introduced a mouse parure of a registered design by 1880 including earrings, bracelet,rings and brooches.
