Victorian Sunflower Brooch

Fine quality Victorian 15 ct gold brooch c.1870.

The central panel contains a sunflower motif heavily beaded and granulated in the Archelogical Revival style so popular in the period.

In the language of flowers,sunflowers represented adoration, loyalty, and longevity.

The brooch is in immaculate condition. 

Original hanger to the back so could easily be worn as a pendant with the help of a bale.
