Moss Agate and Garnet Pansy

Rare Georgian moss agate and flat-cut garnet pansy pendant with pearl centre c.1810.

Unusual combination of stones with the most delicate dentritic agate (backed with white plaster to best show the moss-like inclusions) and foiled flat-cut garnets, tiny original half-pearl centre, all set in cut-down closed back gold settings.

Later plate and pendant fitting.

Likely part of a large suite, split up long ago.
